Jill Denise Wagner

May 29, 1959 – October 24, 2024 Jill Wagner, 65, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, surrounded by family at The University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Jill was born on May 29th, 1959, in Detroit to Richard and Janice Bell. Jill was the youngest of four, preceded in death by her two older brothers, Mike Bell and Rick Bell and survived by her older sister, Sandy Demek (Jeff Demek). After graduating from Redford High School in 1977, Jill worked in the insurance business until taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom. She would later return to the insurance business and eventually retired in 2019 to be a full-time Nana. Jill’s incredible imagination started at a young age and grew into one with the most magical stories. During her retirement, Jill began to revisit her love of storytelling and writing. With the encouragement of her family, Jill would go on to write and publish a three-book crime thriller series which brought joy and adventure to the last few years of her life. Known for her infectious smile, morbid sense of humor and giant, kind heart, Jill leaves behind a lifetime of friendships and meaningful connections. She is survived by her husband, Allen Wagner, Jr.; her three adoring daughters, Kristy Miller (Bill Miller) of Byron, Shay Brown of Fenton, and Kelly Jobe of Fenton. Despite her many accomplishments, being a Nana is what filled her with the most pride, leaving behind four admiring grandchildren: Brett & Cameron Miller, Lily Wagner and Jaxon Cain Brown. Jill brought love and light to everyone she met. She was selfless, brilliant, strong and terrible at golf. She kept socks in her jewelry box and every piece of art her grandkids made. She was witty and always made people laugh. She was always her true self and her legacy of kindness and acceptance will live on in the hearts of those she loved the most. Family will greet visitors from 4 PM until 8 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024, and again on Saturday from 10 AM until 12 noon. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Dryer Funeral Home in Holly.
