Christine Zepp. Christine was born June 25, 1920 in a small German town, Werbas, Yugoslavia. She loved her Lord and her family above all else. She never lost faith, even during the war and her most difficult times. She went to be with her beloved Jesus on Feb. 5, 2013. She was a furniture refinisher during her teen years. She married Josef Zepp on June 25, 1939. During WWII, she had to flee to Austria with her two small children. The family emigrated from Salzburg, Austria to the USA, on Feb. 9, 1957. Her first job was in a bakery in Detroit. When she moved to Holly, she cleaned homes until she joined her husband, in the Grinnell Piano Factory in Holly, MI, as a furniture refinisher. When the factory closed, they were a well-known team, repairing furniture all over the state. She was a terrific cook and baker. Her Christmas cookies were the best! She made the finest noodles every summer, when her attic transformed into a noodle factory. She crocheted and knit many baby blankets and baby booties. They went all over the US and Europe. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church of Holly and a member of the women's society. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Josef Zepp, her grandson Erich Zepp, brother Heinrich Emsberger and sister Elisabeth Riess. She is survived by her son Heinz (Jerilynn) Zepp of Linden; daughter Hannelore (Jack) Felch of Holly; granddaughters Heidi (Ronald) Buffa of Fenton and Henny (Jim) Hetherton of Mt. Dora, FL; grandsons Curtis (Pam) Felch of Pleasant Ridge and Harold (Debbie) Felch of Norville; 9 great-grandchildren, Nicole Brouhard, Summer Ann Hetherton; Danielle, Ahna and Russel Buffa; Courtney and Adam Felch; Nikita and Jack R. Felch; great-great-grandson Gavin Brouhard and her niece and best pal through thick and thin, Henrietta (Josef) Fischer. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 from 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the Dryer Funeral, Holly and 1 hour prior to the funeral service , which will be held on Sat., Feb. 9, 2013 at 11 AM at Calvary United Methodist Church of Holly, 15010 N.
