David P. Mueller

David (Dave) Mueller passed away on July 28, 2023. He was born on May 4, 1962 in Livonia, MI. David spent his early years in Livonia before moving with his family to the farm in White Lake where he would spend the remainder of his childhood growing up. While on the farm he developed many of the joys of his life which would shape who he was for years to come. He loved spending time with his 6 siblings on the farm, where he enjoyed the outdoors and nature, animals, and the time he spent with his family. One of the main joys of his childhood and into adulthood was his love for music where he loved performing for his family and friends whether it be singing along or playing the guitar and piano. While in his early adulthood he met the love of his life, Karen, who would become his wife of 35 years. When he married and fell in love with Karen, he also developed a special love for her two children Jessica and Jennifer, who he would also love and treat as his own daughters. After being married to Karen for a short time he welcomed his daughter Laura Beth, who was one of the greatest joys of his life. Being a father, and later grandfather and great-grandfather (Peepaw), was the most special part of his life and a joy that everyone could clearly see. When his own children were young, he would love organizing fun activities in the neighborhood whether it would be squirt gun and water balloon wars, building forts, or general shenanigans. He was uniquely able to connect with children and share the joy and curiosity that is so special to have, whether it was through playing games with kids, calling kids as Santa, or teaching them skills, fun songs, and stories. In addition to joy he felt with children, he also was someone who loved learning and deep conversations whether it was sharing random facts or telling stories about his life and life experiences or being able to impressively recite children’s stories and poems from his childhood or books he read to his kids and grandchildren. David’s love of his family was also a big part of his life, his family included his parents Joseph and Phyllis, whom preceded him in death, his siblings John and Paula whom preceded him in death, along with Bo (Joseph), Mary, Johanna, and Dawn, his daughters Jessica, Jennifer, and Laura, his grandchildren Josh and Jessica, both of whom preceded him in death, Anthony, and Brooke, along with his great grandchildren Madyx, Maylee, Oakley, and Jolene. He also loved being an uncle to Kristen, Julia, Jamie, John, Jason, Julia, Audrey, and Brennen. David had a great love of life, experiences, joy and learning, and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting David was lucky enough to meet a person so unique and fun that he will be forever impossible to forget. He would insist on everyone knowing that no one was cooler than David Mueller. A Visitation will be held on Wed. August 2, 2023 from 11AM-1PM at the Dryer Funeral Home in Holly.
