Donna M. Zdanowicz

Donna Marie Zdanowicz - age 87, of Fenton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022. She was born May 11th, 1934 to Etienne and Audrey Dionne in River Rouge, MI. Donna attended Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and School in River Rouge. She was a loving and cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She grew up down river before being blessed with her loving second husband Michael and moving onto Taylor Lake in Rose Township in the early 70s. Donna and Mike loved to entertain on the lake, hosting parties with over a hundred family and friends many times throughout the summer and even on the ice in the winter. Their home was always open for anyone, always offering something to eat or drink and even a place to stay. She would buy extra gifts at Christmas time just in case someone happened to come by unexpectedly. Donna made everyone feel at home and fed many, a trait her and her siblings passed on to all of their children. Donna will be sorely missed by all whom she has touched and would want you all to know she loved you. A wonderful tribute to her would be to help anyone in need, any way you are able, in her honor, as her passion was caring for others. She was a very faithful parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton for 45 plus years, even attending daily mass as much as she could. Surviving are her sister Millie Costa, Children Charles Stidham, James Stidham, Thomas Zdanowicz (Rachel), Michele Morrow (Paul), Nancy Hirsch and Steven Zdanowicz, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Rachel Zdanowicz and granddaughter, Morgan Morrow for their care as her health was declining. Donna is preceded in death by her loving husband Michael Zdanowicz, brothers Donald and Russell Dionne, sister Peggy Sparks, sons Steven, Russel and David Stidham, daughter-in-laws Karin and Marie Stidham, son-in-law Thomas Hirsch and grandson David Stidham as well as several nephews and sister-in-laws, keeping her faith and loving spirit through many losses. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, January 20th, 2022 at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Fenton, with Father David Harvey, Celebrant. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be from 2-9pm (Rosary at 7pm) Wednesday at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly.
