Lois N. Myler

Lois Nona Greeson Myler - age 85, most recently of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on May 7, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the Grand Blanc Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will precede the funeral on Friday from 10:30-12:00 at the Grand Blanc Stake Center. Mrs. Myler was born on August 27, 1937 to Charles Leonard Greeson and Anona Elinor Gunter in Hood River, Oregon. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1960 with a degree in Sociology. She married Charles Frank Myler, Jr. November 6, 1959. She graduated with a second degree from Mott Community College in nursing and worked as a psychiatric nurse for Hurley Hospital for 13 years. Mrs. Myler was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving with the women, young adults and youth. Her other passions included genealogy and music. Her garden, like her life, was thoughtfully planned, carefully nurtured, and generously shared. It never seemed to occur to her that there was anything she couldn't accomplish. Her motto was "Let us all press on". Whether it was her startling honesty, quick wit or profound compassion, she was, in every way, a pioneer. May her life be a blessing to all with whom she crossed paths. She is survived by 6 children; Lance (Candace Schaffer) Myler of WA, Cheryl Lynne (Victor Holove) of IN, David Sterling (Mary Alice Sandusky, deceased) of TN, LaDawn (Clark Rawlins) of WA, Chad (Pamela McIntyre) of NV, and Janelle (Ryan Washington) of ID. She has 27 grand-children and 20 great-grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Myler, sons Christopher and Phillip Myler and granddaughter Laura Holove. Her poem is: TO THOSE WHOM I LOVE AND THOSE WHO LOVE ME When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do You must not tie yourself to me with tears Be happy that I have had so many years I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave me in happiness I thank you for the love each have shown But now it is time I traveled on alone So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must Then let your grief be comforted by trust It is only for a while that we must part So bless the memories in your heart I will not be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call and I will come Though you cannot see or touch me, I will be near And if you listen with your heart, you will hear All of my love around you soft and clear Then, when you must come this way alone I will greet you with a smile and a “Welcome Home” Mary Alice Ramish
