Bennie Ray Creech Sr. age 67, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Monday, June 27, 2017 at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce, MI. Bennie was born June 4, 1950 in the quaint town of Beattyville, KY. He was the second son to parents Gladys (Roberts) and Junis Creech. Throughout his life, he loved being outdoors and travel. Always a daredevil, he enjoyed standing on the edge of the mountainous landscapes of his home state. When he was a teenager, he moved to Michigan, where he met the love of his life, Barbara. Together, they built a beautiful life, and had many adventures. The greatest of all, raising a family. He was a hard worker, always working overtime to give his family all that he could. And he loved his community by devoting nearly 25 years of his life as a volunteer fire fighter. He was passionate about family, and would help anyone, any way that he could. Bennie was a handyman, a gardener, a fisherman, a jack of all trades, a friend, and a hero. Now he is our Guardian Angel. Bennie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara; his children Bennie Jr., Trishanna, Rabecca, and Kellie; His sons-in-law Jason and Mark; his grandchildren Mike, Amber (Donny), Cherokee, Jamie (Angela), Destiney, Bennie III, Hannah, Travis, Elijah, Yvaine, Amelia, Xavier, and Gryffin; his siblings Flo (Mike), Kenny, Elaine (Bill), Lucy, and Ricky; as well as many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys; father Junis; brothers Danny and Timmy; and sisters Connie and Robin. Visitation will be held at Dryer Funeral Home in Holly, MI on Friday June 30, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 1, at 1 p.m. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com
