David L. Parrett, age 73, of Holly, died Wed. Dec. 5, 2018. He was born in Daggett, MI on Feb. 28, 1945 to John and Catherine (Buckmaster) Parrett. He was employed as an operating engineer for 47 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Air Force and was a member of the Holly American Legion. He was a kind, loyal, generous, and hard working husband and father. He was also a proud Yooper. Surviving are his wife Deborah; children Audrey Thompson, Lori (Jeff) Callender, Susanne King, Deanna (William) Wolf, Chuck (Teresa) Jacobson, and Rebecca Jacobson; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and sister Margie Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held on Tues. Dec. 11, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 PM at the Dryer Funeral Home Holly, followed by military honors and committal service at 2:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
