Frederick H. "Fred" Lloyd, age 100, of Fenton, Michigan, formerly of Royal Oak, Michigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 6, 2021. Fred was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on July 31, 1921 to Frederick and Lillian (Brisley) Lloyd. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during WWII. He married Pearl McQuay on August 28, 1945 and they enjoyed 41 years together. He worked many years for Ford as a supervisor and retired in 1983. Fred enjoyed restoring antique cars and trucks, loved to travel, was an avid reader, loved nature and the outdoors and always kept busy with many challenging projects. He loved spending time with his family and especially loved to watch his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who referred to him as "Papa", in the winter, sledding on the large hill in front of his house. Fred was preceded in death by his wife Pearl, daughter Wendy Lowing, granddaughter Anna Lowing, brothers Walter and Ernest Lloyd. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Linda (Mike) Blascyk; grandchildren Steve (Sarah) Blascyk, Emily (Nathan) Boardwell, Jessica (Dave) Ike, Lauren (Mike) Ponke, Carl Lowing, and Michael (Joy) Blascyk. Great-grandchildren, Gwen, Calvin and Jack Blascyk; Austin, Layla, Issac, and Vada Ike; Troy, Adam, and Seth Ponke; Lilly, Riley, Macey, Camryn, Madeline and Kyler; Aisling Wood and Evie Blascyk and son-in-law Marty Lowing, along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan, in the chapel, with burial to follow. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com
