Janet Kaye Wright Thompson

October 16, 1947 - February 11, 2022

Janet Kaye Wright Thompson passed away on February 11, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital, at the age of 74. She was born in Detroit on October 16, 1947. Janet is survived by her 4 children, Edward (Rachel) Thompson, Sheri (Ray) Thompson, Pamela Thompson and Jason (Rachel) Thompson. Also survived by her grandchildren, Katelyn, Cody (Elise), Ariel, Sarah, Tyler, Autumn, Jett, Nolan, sweet Jaecc and her special friend Dean; Siblings, Connie (John) Kelley, and Tom (Cerese) Wright, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Jerry and Daniel, her parents Edward and Clarice Wright and her brother Dennis Wright. Janet loved everyone, as they loved her in return! She had a very special sunshine personality that everyone adored! She was the best at making everyone around her laugh with almost everything she said and did. Janet was very loyal to her family and friends and a huge animal lover. Janet enjoyed cooking very large meals for family, organizing, shopping, spending time with loved ones, line dancing and traveling with her family. Janet was very good about donating to the Humane Society and to our Veterans as well. Janet was very devoted to the Lord and have no doubt that she is in a better place with the one that have left us too soon. She would want everyone to know: “Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free. If I have left a void, fill it with a kiss, a laugh, oh yes, the things I will miss. Do not be burdened with sorrow, I wish you all the sunshines of tomorrow. My life has been happy and full! Perhaps my time may seem all too brief, lift your heart and peace to thee. God wanted me now, he set me free.” Janet will live on through us with laughter, memories and dancing.
