He is survived by his wife of 27 years, college sweetheart, and love of his life Dr. Susan Mosier-LaClair, MD. Mark was born April 10, 1966 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He graduated in 1984 from Comstock High School where he excelled as a multisport athlete lettering in Football, Basketball, and his favorite sport Baseball. He received an academic scholarship to Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. It is there that he met his wife Sue. He graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Health and Safety Engineering. He was hired upon graduation to work for his long time employer Walbridge, a Global Construction Management Company. Throughout his career at Walbridge he worked his way up to his current position as the Vice President of Health, Safety, and Environmental in the company. He was respected by his bosses, coworkers, and peers in the field as a man of integrity, knowledge, strength and compassion. He loved them all like family and they loved and treated him the same way. Mark always enjoyed spending time outdoors and enjoying nature with his family and friends. He loved working on the 80 acres near his home that he hunted on. Most of all, in the spring through the fall, he loved sitting on the back deck of his home overlooking the pond, pool, and woods, with his wife in the evenings. This was his true happy place. He also loved living the lake life. Many happy days were spent at the family cottage on Tipsico Lake with family and friends tubing, swimming and being chauffeured around the lake for sunset cruises on his big red pontoon boat with Captain Mark. His greatest joy was spending time deer hunting. He taught his two sons, his daughter, and most recently his wife, as well as many friends and their children the joy of hunting over the years. Mark passed on his passion for hunting and his love of the outdoors to his daughter Lauren. Together they shared many hunting trips on our property, throughout the Midwest, Montana and even South Africa for big game. Mark was at heart a family man. It meant everything to him. He was a wonderful partner, husband, and best friend to his wife Sue. He was the best father to his three children, Lauren, Jack, and Brett, they could ever have asked or wished for. He enjoyed hanging out with his sons, talking and laughing while watching videos and trying his best to keep up and game with them. He was so proud of all of his children and their accomplishments, they represent the best of him and his lifetime legacy of kindness, compassion and love of family. He is preceded in death by his father Oliver A. LaClair Jr and his father and mother in law, Richard Dwight Mosier and Patricia Ann Mosier.
