Will Jack Blair

December 26, 1939 - March 23, 2017

Will Jack Blair, 77 years old, of Holly, Michigan, passed away on March 23, 2017. Will (known by most family as "Jack" and as "Bill" by some of his friends) was born in Hollywood, Alabama on December 26, 1939 to Zeb and Lula Blair. Will was the fourth oldest child born to Zeb and Lula Blair out of eleven children. Will moved from Alabama to Chicago, IL at the age of 19. He lived and worked in Chicago for a few years before moving to Michigan. Will's oldest son, Geoff, was born in Chicago, Illinois. Will was married to Linda Donella Acklin Blair in 1965. Will and Linda were married for almost 21 years before their marriage ended in 1986. Will worked for several different companies driving semi-trucks for almost 40 years. Will never met a "stranger"; he could walk up to a complete stranger and begin talking to them as though he had known them his whole life. Will also loved to sing. One of Will's favorite singers was Sam Cooke. Will would perform "concerts" at his birthday parties, family reunions, at all the different facilities he lived in before his passing, as well as a special performance at his daughter Kim's wedding. Will is survived by four children: Geoff (Pam), Kimberly (Darryl), Godfrey, and Greg, as well as four grandchildren, five sisters, one brother, several nieces and nephews, and host of other family and friends. Will was preceded in death by both of his parents, Zeb and Lula Blair, sisters Sue Anne Blair King and Lealice Blair Wordlaw, brothers James and Johnny Blair, and other uncles, aunts, and cousins. Two of Will's very good friends Ardell Booth and Harvey Nichols also preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Sat. April 15, 2017 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly. Will's children ask that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association in memory of their father in lieu of flowers or plants. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com
