Dorothy Williams-Seelig (Olinzock)

Dorothy Henrietta Agnello was born July 12, 1925, in East Detroit and entered eternal life on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the age of 98. Born to parents Anthony and Helen Victoria Agnello (Hoelzeman), Dorothy wished to live as long as her father who lived to 101. Dorothy was an avid reader, bird lover, gardener, and needlepoint crafter. She loved coloring and card playing. Dorothy was committed to her faith and family and enjoyed the multitude of lively family celebrations throughout her long life. Dorothy is preceded in death by her three husbands, all WWII veterans, Leonard B. Olinzock (1978), Robert M. Williams (1994), Charles W. Seelig (2012). A loving mother of ten children, survived by David (Barbara) Olinzock, Victoria (Dennis) Day, Christine (Richard) Tinkey, Theresa (Steve) Foth, James Olinzock (deceased 2020), Mary Beth (Doc) Anway, Suzanne Olinzock, Richard (Peggy) Olinzock, Stephen Olinzock, and Daniel Olinzock; 18 grandchildren; and 22 greatgrandchildren. Dorothy was the eldest of nine brothers and sisters and is survived by Mary Jane Lapinski, Frank Agnello, Betty Schramm, and Carolyn McTevia. Dorothy was preceded in death by brother Tony Agnello, sisters Virginia Bridgman, Lillian Carter, and Annette Shepard. Dorothy’s marriages later in life brought her joy and enriched the family. Dorothy was married to Robert (Bob) Williams from 1985 – 1994 and the families of daughters Mary Ellen (deceased 2011) (Marvin) Schultz and Wendy (Mike) Roe joined the Olinzock family. Dorothy remained social all her life and met Charles (Charlie) Seelig at the Hollyhocks senior center. They were married from 2001 – 2012 and his two daughters, Rhonda and Gayle, became a part of the greater extended family life. Visitation will be held at Dryer Funeral Home, 101 S. First Street, Holly, Michigan 48442, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 2 pm to 9 pm with a Vigil Service at 7 pm. On Wednesday, August 23, at 10 am Dorothy’s body will lie in state until the celebration of her funeral Mass at 11:00 am, at St. Rita Parish, 309 E. Maple Street, Holly, Michigan 48442. A continuation of the celebration of her life will immediately follow with a hosted meal and refreshments at The Holly Vault, 202 S Saginaw St., Holly, Michigan. The family invites all to participate.
