Judithann Lafrinere

Judithann Lafrinere June 26, 1940 – January 22, 2026 Judithann Lafrinere of Holly, formerly of Dearborn Heights, Michigan; South Lyon, Michigan; and Crossville, Tennessee, died January 22, 2026, at the age of 85. She is mourned by her children, Pamela and Bob (Maureen); and grandchildren, Connor (Hailey) and Genevieve. Judy was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas Lafrinere, to whom she was married for almost 55 years; and Paul Oliver, who died when their children were very young. Despite the heartbreak in her first marriage, she persevered and went on to raise her family, build a career in accounting, and retire into a life filled with fun and adventure. Judy was known for her joyful approach to life, always smiling and telling jokes to her loved ones. In her last week, she danced and laughed with the team at her care home. It was truly a blessing that she continued to recognize her children and loved ones, who watched her face light up with recognition every time they visited. Judy was born in Dearborn in 1940. She started her career after her first husband’s death in order to support her children, working first at a financial services firm and then, for the majority of her career, in accounting with Michigan Dairy in Livonia, from which she retired in 1995. After retiring, Judy and Tom hit the road in their RV in search of warm winters in Florida and the southwest, living in Tennessee when they were not traveling. Judy loved camping, enjoying the outdoors, and visiting with friends and acquaintances they met all along the way. When her grandchildren were growing up, Judy was drawn back to Michigan to settle in Holly to be closer to her family for the big and small occasions of their lives. She loved to shower her children and grandchildren with gifts at Christmas and birthdays and anytime something special caught her eye. It was clear that her family was always on her mind and close to her heart. She was an avid reader and loved to cook and decorate her lovely homes. She was also a lover of animals and cared deeply for her pets. In her later years, she could often be found with her Yorkie, Poppy, fast asleep on her lap. She brought joy, beauty, and kindness to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Judy will be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery beside Tom. The family requests memorial contributions to the Michigan Humane Society.
